Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
- Saturday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm (every other Sunday)
Additional day off provided during weeks where weekends are worked — maintaining a 5-day week.
Lead a High-Performing Sales Department
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced New & Used Car Sales Manager to join a successful and busy dealership in the Newbury area. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven automotive Sales Manager to take ownership of a thriving department covering both new and used vehicle sales, leading an established team and driving performance across the dealership.
The successful candidate will oversee a team consisting of 1 Sales Controller and 6 Sales Executives, with department expectations of approximately 60 used and 20 new vehicle sales per month.
The Role
- Leading and motivating the sales team to achieve and exceed targets
- Driving profitability, performance and customer satisfaction across both new and used car departments
- Managing daily sales activity, enquiry management and conversions
- Supporting and developing the Sales Controller and Sales Executives
- Ensuring effective deal management and stock control
- Monitoring KPIs, reporting and departmental performance
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance
- Creating a positive, driven and professional sales culture
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sales Manager within the motor trade
- Strong leadership and team management ability
- Proven track record of delivering strong sales performance and profitability
- Excellent organisational, communication and motivational skills
- Ability to drive both customer experience and commercial success
- Professional, ambitious and highly driven approach
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
