Our client, a well-established independent garage based in Grays, is looking to recruit two experienced Vehicle Technicians to join their busy and growing workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for technicians who enjoy a varied workload and want to join a friendly, professional independent garage with a strong local reputation.
The Role
The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of servicing, maintenance and repair work on various makes and models, including:
- MOT repairs
- Brake pad and brake disc replacement
- Timing belt replacements
- Clutch replacements
- Turbo repairs and replacements
- DPF diagnostics and repairs
- Engine repairs
- General mechanical repairs and servicing
- Fault finding and diagnostics
The garage specialises in Land Rover and BMW vehicles, so previous experience working on these brands would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered, applicants should have:
- Around 7-10 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician
- The ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy workshop
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience carrying out a broad range of mechanical repairs
- A full UK driving licence is preferred
Hours
Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
1 in 2 Saturdays: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary
£35,000 - £45,000 basic salary, depending on experience. No bonus scheme – competitive guaranteed basic salary.
