Brentwood (Event-Based Role)
Permanent | Full Time
40 hours across 3–4 days per week
Looking for a role that’s fast-paced, people-focused and different from the typical 9–5? We’re recruiting an Events Assistant to join a growing and dynamic events team delivering high-energy training and networking events in Brentwood. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll help bring live events to life — welcoming delegates, supporting speakers and making sure every event runs smoothly from start to finish.
Most events take place Tuesday to Thursday, meaning longer days but fewer of them, making this perfect for someone who enjoys variety and an exciting environment rather than a traditional office routine.
The Role
As an Events Assistant, you’ll be part of the team delivering live training events attended by entrepreneurs and business professionals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up event rooms including banners, screens and AV equipment
- Welcoming and registering delegates on arrival
- Supporting the Event Manager and speakers throughout the event
- Engaging with attendees and creating a great atmosphere
- Assisting with event materials, merchandise and delegate packs
- Coordinating lunch orders and dietary requirements
- Contacting delegates who have not arrived
- Helping reset the event space ready for the following day
Working Pattern
Most events run Tuesday – Thursday with typical hours such as:
- Tuesday: 7:30am – 7:00pm
- Wednesday: 8:00am – 10:00pm
- Thursday: 8:00am – 8:00pm
You may also support Academy training days twice per month (usually Monday or Friday). Hours average 40 per week, and any additional hours are returned as time off in lieu. Events are primarily held in Brentwood, with occasional training days across Essex.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Energetic, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confident speaking to delegates and creating a positive atmosphere
- Someone proactive who enjoys getting stuck in and making things happen
- Reliable and able to travel to event locations
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to learn, develop and be part of exciting live events. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in energetic environments and want to build a career in events, apply today.
