Our client is offering an exciting opportunity to become part of their established sales team in Basildon, Essex, as a Business Development Manager. In this role, you will receive continuous support and opportunities for growth. A realistic OTE of £40-45k in year 1, £50k+ in year 2.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Actively seeking out new business opportunities via sales, cold calling, networking events and identifying opportunities.
- Prospecting – Cold calling by phone, face to face, email, and other sales channels with a view to creating sales appointments and closing opportunities.
- Visiting prospects to promote vehicle contract hire solutions.
- Preparing sales proposals and presenting to prospects.
- Generate sales quotations and follow up all opportunities in a quick and professional manner.
- Maintain a full record of activity via CRM system.
- Work closely with teams across various departments, i.e., Administration and Marketing to understand the day to day running of our business as well our sales processes.
Your Background & Skill:
- Sales background and business development (preferably B2B sales) is essential.
- Knowledge within the Automotive Industry.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills are key – written and verbal.
- Ability to engage with customers face to face and via the telephone.
- Well-developed business acumen and understanding of sales processes.
- Professional and well presented.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
