A fantastic position has arisen for a Director, Quantity Surveyor to join our fast-growing team based in our Covent Garden office.

This position involves undertaking a broad range of surveying duties for various private clients predominantly in London and the South-East.

Role:

The role will manage the development of our growing team and work closely with our Managing Director to tender for new business.

The candidate will be expected to drive the projects forward in a proactive manner, be a team player, focused on excellence in service delivery and communications with clients and contractors alike, be extremely organised, personable and have a keen attention to detail. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside Project Managers, Project Monitoring Surveyors, Building Surveyors and Expert Witnesses specialising in quantum and technical matters.
Team: Great team of six Quantity Surveyors based across London and Epsom. The role would directly manage the growing London team and work closely with the Project Managers.

About this Role:

Day-to-day Responsibilities to include but not restricted to the following:

  • Constructively challenge, when necessary, the Client’s views or expectations and provide meaningful alternatives.
  • Sustain a high level of drive, enthusiasm and commitment completing tasks at agreed key stages and milestone deadlines.
  • Deliver a high quality of service and products by utilising Adair policy and procedures.
  • Manage time, planning, and organising to ensure excellence.
  • Continuously improve and develop best in class Adair products.
  • Report regularly to the Directors on deliverable performance of services you are directly responsible for.
  • Negotiate satisfactory agreements regarding costs and fees.
  • Monitor performance against fee income and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Identify and consider the cost and business benefit of a project.
  • Support Directors in meeting financial targets.
  • Identify and establish new relationships and opportunities.
