The role provides the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Building Surveying to further grow the team and its client base. Candidates will also be expected to support and nurture junior members of the team, through their APCs and on a path to becoming an accomplished surveyor.
This opportunity involves undertaking a broad range of surveying duties for various private and Local Authority clients across a wide variety of sectors. We primarily undertake work on prime and super prime residential properties, office buildings, theatres, shopping centres predominantly in London and the Southeast.
The candidate will be expected to drive projects forward in a proactive manner, be a team player, focused on excellence in service delivery and communications with clients and contractors alike, be extremely organised, personable and have a keen attention to detail. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Expert Witnesses specialising in quantum and technical matters.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Day-to-day Responsibilities include but are not restricted to the following:
- Generate new business relationships.
- Develop and service existing clients.
- Prepare fee proposals.
- Being a major fee earner in the growing team.
Undertake a broad range of surveying services to include but not limited to:
- Measured and building surveys (residential and commercial).
- Party Wall services.
- Writing specifications and prepare tender and contract documentation.
- Dilapidation services.
- Undertaking defect analysis surveys and preparing reports.
- Preparing Licences to Alter, monitoring work and signing off.
- Assisting with Expert Witness matters to include site inspections and preparation of CPR35 reports.

What you will need:
RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying.
To be a full member of the RICS (MRICS).
Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues, clients and members of the public.
Good IT skills and full working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
CAD/BIM experience beneficial.
Keen eye for details and drive to provide a quality service.
