.NET Core & Azure DevOps Modernisation | 2 days in office | Flexible Culture | Agile Scrum | Progression & Shares Opportunity
Ada Meher is partnered on a search with a leading FinTech business with offices on Deansgate as they recruit an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join them as they undergo a modernisation project from a legacy monolith to cloud-based microservice architecture and develop a new suite of products. They are looking for a candidate who can make contributions to the ongoing technical improvements and help raise the bar in the business.
The business uses Agile Scrum methodology so are looking for a candidate with experience working in scrum teams and who is comfortable working using Agile concepts for estimation of tickets, sprint planning, burn down charts & velocity etc. There is no expectation that a candidate should have prior formal Team Lead experience, but there will be an opportunity to step into that role longer term.
As a hybrid employer, this business is set up to support remote and flexible working allowing their employees to get the most out of home life whilst also contributing to the success of the team. They ask for an office presence 2 days per week, to collaborate with the team in person.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to ongoing technical improvements and modernisation efforts.
- Work on migrating from a legacy monolith to cloud-based microservice architecture and develop a new suite of products.
- Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams, participate in estimation, sprint planning, burn down charts and velocity tracking.
- Engage in hands-on development with ASP.NET, .NET Core (up to v8) and related technologies.
- Contribute to design discussions and help raise engineering standards across the business.
- Provide long-term value with potential to step into leadership roles as the team grows.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with ASP.NET and .NET Core (up to v8).
- Experience working with Azure DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines.
- Experience working with microservice architectures and cloud deployments.
- A strong understanding of Agile delivery and associated tasks/metrics.
- Experience with JavaScript/Typescript.
