Ada Meher is currently resourcing for a candidate to join their client, a platform vendor based in Leeds city centre, who is looking to add to their delivery team due to the demands of their current projects. The role will involve using Symfony, working on a number of large scale application builds using the latest in headless web-API and serverless technology. The company are very process driven, following TDD and Agile methodology and preferring candidates who have similar ideologies. They also deploy code via AWS and Lambdas with the Serverless framework so any knowledge in this area would be beneficial.
This company offers a high-performing environment and promotes growth and progression very seriously. High achievers can expect an accelerated progression path. They value face-to-face contact in the office and see benefit in output and collaboration from this. They are looking for a candidate whose values align with this. Their office requirement is three days per week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, but they are very happy to be flexible if people can't make it in all three days weekly.
The ideal candidate will have experience working commercially with PHP and Symfony, preferably with a focus on quality and testing, and be enthused by the chance to work on enterprise grade application development. Given the greenfield nature of the work, there is plenty of opportunity for input from all levels on the design of the solution and a real chance for the right person to really make their mark. Developers who have previously managed multiple projects at once, while sticking to structure and deadlines will likely be a suitable fit.
To be considered:
- Demonstrable experience of PHP Development
- Demonstrable experience with MVC frameworks (Preferably Symfony)
- Knowledge of React and NextJS
- Knowledge of TDD/Unit Testing
- Knowledge of AWS/Cloud
- Experience in Agile Development
