The only key requirement is solid SQL Querying experience, as the business is happy to develop skills in the wider administration including Linux and CI/CD with Jenkins. The wider technology stack is LAMP based, so experience working on similar platforms would be a benefit.

The company puts a big focus on training and progression and can offer a training budget for the betterment of each and every one of their technical team. They also work hybrid remote, with the team coming into the office 3 days a week to collaborate with colleagues and working the rest of the week remotely.

To be considered:

  • Demonstrable experience in a SQL focused role
  • Expert knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL querying
  • Experience working with Data Clusters would be an advantage
  • Previous experience working in a LAMP stack environment would be ideal
  • Any knowledge of AWS is desirable but not essential

The ideal candidate will have both the experience working within a technical team where they are troubleshooting complex database focused queries, as well as enthusiasm for the chance to develop themselves personally and grow in a role. Given the nature of the opportunity, driven by the increasing complexity of the work that the company is doing, there is plenty of autonomy and opportunity for the right person to really make their mark and establish database processes as their own.
