ADA Machining Services Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Inspector to join the team. This is a hands-on role involving the inspection of large fabrications, castings, and forgings within a busy engineering environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager and Managing Director to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed inspection of large fabrications, castings, and forgings
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measuring equipment
  • Operate and utilise FARO arm equipment for inspection activities
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality records
  • Manage and maintain the company calibration database
  • Liaise directly with customers regarding inspection and quality matters
  • Support continuous improvement of quality procedures and systems
  • Work closely with production and management teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications

Requirements

  • Previous inspection experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience inspecting large engineered components
  • Knowledge and experience using FARO arm equipment
  • Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal directly with customers
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Experience with calibration systems and quality documentation
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Background in machining, fabrication, or heavy engineering environments
