Our client's nursery was founded in 2003 and is a converted old Victorian School building on the outskirts of Queensbury Village. Inside their setting you will find three floors that have been renovated over the years to create a spacious, warm and inviting environment for children from birth to age 5 with a capacity of 104 children daily.
The Role
They are looking for a Level 3 qualified practitioner with a genuine enthusiasm and passion for working with children to join their wonderful team on a fixed contract with the potential of a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- To communicate effectively with colleagues and parents/carers at all times
- To understand and care for all children's individual needs
- To plan and prepare educational activities for all children in conjunction with the early year's foundation stage and their bespoke curriculum to meet children's individual care and learning needs
- To create a stimulating environment, creating awe and wonder for the children
- To follow all policies, procedures and protocols at all times
- To observe and record children's progress and development participating in a key person system
- To support colleagues and work as a team player at all times
- To put the children's needs and interests first understanding that all children are unique
- To be a professional early year's practitioner, providing quality practice to the children
- To understand safeguarding and to safeguard the children at all times
