Role Overview
The Head of Finance will lead the day-to-day financial operations of the charity, including budgeting, reporting, payroll, and financial governance. The postholder will also line manage the Finance Officer, ensuring effective support for transactional finance tasks and smooth day-to-day processes. Working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees, you will help ensure sound financial management and contribute to strong internal controls and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Support the delivery of the Strategic Plan
- Prepare management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports for the CEO and Trustees
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against budgets
- Oversee bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and ensure accurate financial data entry
- Manage the year-end process and liaise with external auditors
