Care Home Administrator Location: Green Lane Care Centre in Leeds Hours: 37.5 per week Rate- £14 per hour We are looking for an organised, reliable and proactive Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our nursing home. Working closely with the management team, you will provide administrative support and be a welcoming first point of contact for residents, relatives, staff and visiting professionals. Key responsibilities Manage telephone calls, emails, correspondence and enquiries professionally. Maintain accurate staff and resident records, handling confidential information with care. Support recruitment administration, including interview arrangements, pre-employment checks, new starter paperwork and induction bookings. Keep staff records up to date, including training, supervision, annual leave and absence information. Prepare and submit accurate payroll information, including timesheets and changes. Support invoicing, purchasing, petty cash records and liaison with head office. Arrange meetings, take minutes and follow up agreed actions. Help prepare documentation for audits and inspections. Support the Home Manager with daily administrative tasks and improvements to office processes. Experience and skills required Previous administration experience; experience in a care home or healthcare setting is desirable. HR and payroll administration experience would be an advantage. Good written and verbal communication skills and a professional telephone manner. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping. Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work independently. A discreet and responsible approach to confidential information. Confidence in handling challenging situations and knowing when to escalate concerns. A friendly, respectful approach towards residents, relatives and colleagues.
