Overview
Warehouse & Forklift Truck Tutor — Dearne Valley College, Rotherham
Salary: Up to £30,683 a year plus benefits
Vacancy Type: Temporary for 6 months
Hours: Full time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deliver highly inspirational teaching and training resources for Warehousing and FLT.
- Identify individual starting points and provide developmental feedback; undertake individual reviews and manage the course components including the individual learning plan (ILP) with SMART targets to promote learner progress.
- Train both employed and unemployed learners, motivate learners and identify appropriate support to address issues that may hinder achievement.
- Deliver RTITB Accredited counterbalance and Reach Truck courses on-site as part of an experienced RTITB Instructor role.
- Maintain industry experience and deliver Warehousing & FLT courses, ensuring an enriching experience from day one for learners (employed and/or unemployed).
Qualifications:
- RTITB Accredited Assessors Award
- Minimum Level 3 teaching qualification
- Warehousing certificate
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy or equivalent
- IQA qualification (desirable but not essential)
Department & Work Context:
As a member of the Employer Responsive Team, you will report directly to your Line Manager and build relationships with Curriculum Areas, Work Based Learning Team Leaders, Assessors, coordinators and Additional Support staff, exams and MIS department.
