About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrical installation professional to make a career change from the "tools" into the classroom to share knowledge and expertise, influencing the next generation of skilled electricians. Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and assessment up to Level 3, covering study programmes, adult programmes, and apprenticeships within electrical installations, in both workshop and classroom environments.
  • Develop creative resources to inspire outstanding learning and monitor learner progress to promote positive outcomes.
  • Equip students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training, inspiring them to achieve their potential.
  • Set SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential and support the curriculum team at Rotherham, working closely with Curriculum Team Leaders, line managed by the Curriculum Manager.

Qualifications

  • Vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, plus relevant teaching qualification and assessor award, or willingness to work towards.
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths, or willingness to undertake.
  • Experience in practical, theoretical, and digital methods to engage learners and provide essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours for the future.
  • Effective and motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives.
