About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Mechanical Installation and Maintenance Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation of a wide variety of new plant and equipment as well as steelwork, and planned and reactive maintenance tasks for our clients.
The Role
- Installation & Commissioning: Installing and setting up machinery as well as the commissioning of new mechanical systems and production machinery.
- Preventative Maintenance: Scheduled maintenance plans (PPM) to optimize equipment longevity.
- Reactive Repairs: Promptly diagnose and repair mechanical handling equipment.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving, effective communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Location: Working at different locations around the UK, therefore must be willing to travel (transport provided) and be comfortable with periods working away from home (accommodation provided). Weekend working will be required when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience with installations, manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Environment: Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- UK driving licence required: MEWP and forklift experience an advantage.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer manuals.
- Adaptability: Ability to work well under pressure and turn your skills to many different tasks.
