About Bay Tree House
Located in Heysham, Lancashire, Bay Tree House is a mental health crisis unit that operates on a recovery model. We provide a 24-hour staffed service for residents aged 16 and upwards, offering hospital prevention, step-down, respite, and crisis support services. We have been serving the community for several years.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate with clinical teams regarding referrals and patient presentations, making informed referral decisions.
- Support individuals experiencing low mood, depression, anxiety, mania, voice hearing, delusions, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts, helping them develop coping strategies.
- Participate in group programs addressing substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, unemployment, or abuse.
Candidate Requirements
No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided. Candidates with understanding of mental health issues or lived experience are encouraged to apply. Essential qualities include a caring and compassionate nature, empathy, enthusiasm, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work on a weekly rota and be available for on-call duties is required.
