About The Role

We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Team Leader to lead trauma-informed support for adults affected by domestic abuse and substance misuse across East Kent. This fixed-term role until 31st March 2028 offers the chance to make a real difference while driving high-quality, coordinated support for survivors. You will be the East Kent lead for Domestic Abuse, acting as the central point of contact and ensuring consistent practice across services.

What you’ll do

  • Lead MARAC across East Kent, ensuring consistent processes, licensing, and governance
  • Deliver trauma-informed outreach support in refuges and community settings, managing a small, complex caseload
  • Risk assess using DASH, coordinate substance misuse treatment, and refer into IDVA services and wider support networks

Leadership, Collaboration & Impact

  • Work closely with IDVAs and partner agencies, representing survivors’ needs and voices
  • Upskill Domestic Abuse and Substance Misuse practitioners and maintain strong referral pathways with refuges and external partners
  • Promote the service, increase awareness and referrals, and contribute to targets and outcomes set by Forward and local commissioners
