Vacancy Type: 6 month FTC

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Service Manager, responsible for resolving cases of damp, mould and disrepair.
  • Carry out inspections, virtually and in person, to diagnose the causes of damp, mould and disrepairs.
  • Order works, track cases to completion and work with Homes teams and Partnering Contractors for specialist input.
  • Track HHSRS actions to ensure our homes are safe.
  • Travel to locations and attend national meetings as required (home based role; candidates in Bristol/Gloucester highly desirable).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educated to minimum HNC level or equivalent professional experience/qualification in construction, housing, management or property.
  • Knowledge and experience in building pathology; ability to diagnose causes of damp and mould.
  • Proven experience of delivering a maintenance service.
  • Good understanding of Decent Homes requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of building components, diagnosis of building defects, building/contract law, building regulations and housing law.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in recording relevant information.

Additional Information:

  • The role will be home based but there will be an expectation to travel to locations and attend national meetings as required.
  • While location is flexible, candidates located in Bristol / Gloucester are highly desirable.

  • Appointment to this role will be subject to satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
