About the Role
We are seeking an outstanding and caring Teacher of English to join our team. You will teach with enthusiasm, expertise, and high expectations, supporting all learners to achieve their full potential. You will report to the relevant curriculum leader and play an active role in maintaining the ethos, standards, and success of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across English, including up to Advanced Level
- Plan lessons in line with school policy and schemes of work
- Set ambitious and appropriate learning targets using assessment data
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress effectively
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, punctuality, and engagement
- Create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment
- Differentiating effectively in collaboration with the Inclusion Team
- Contribute to collaborative planning and curriculum development
- Participate in appraisal and ongoing professional development
- Provide cover for colleagues when required (rare and infrequent)
- Support extracurricular activities and wider school life
