Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)
Location: Ridgeway, The Thicket, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 3QE
Salary: £32,000 gross per annum

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our school team, working with children aged 2-4 years. This is a full‑time, all‑year‑round position, working 42.5 hours per week between 7:30am and 6:00pm.
You will play a key role in providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop through structured play and engaging activities. The role will also include supporting Extended Day Care when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of children at all times
- Encourage learning and development through play-based activities
- Support children with meals, snacks, and personal care routines
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and development
- Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment
- Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and suitable for children’s needs
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and support wider nursery activities when required
Person Specification
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Early Years
- Previous experience working within an early years setting
- Good standard of English and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, reliable, and proactive approach
- A genuine commitment to children’s learning, development, and wellbeing
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within an early years environment
