About the Role

Are you a passionate and creative dance professional looking to inspire the next generation of performers? We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Part‑Time Dance & Performing Arts Teacher (50‑70%) to join a dynamic Performing Arts team from September 2026. This role is based primarily within the Junior School, with additional opportunities to contribute to extra‑curricular activities across Senior School and Sixth Form. You will deliver engaging lessons across a range of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Street Jazz and Acro. The successful candidate will play a key role in choreographing productions, supporting performances and contributing to a vibrant and inclusive Performing Arts programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and develop the dance curriculum within the Junior School and Nursery
  • Teach a broad range of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Street Jazz and Acro
  • Choreograph and support school productions and performances
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Performing Arts curriculum
  • Deliver high‑quality teaching and engaging learning experiences
  • Support rehearsals, showcases, workshops and productions
  • Lead and develop extra‑curricular clubs and enrichment opportunities
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the Performing Arts team
  • Maintain safe practice in line with safeguarding policies
  • Promote Performing Arts across the wider school community

Person Specification

  • Experience in dance teaching, coaching and choreography
  • Strong dance background and relevant qualifications (e.g., ISTD, RAD) desirable
  • Knowledge of musical theatre and a wide range of dance styles
  • Experience in contemporary, hip hop, street, salsa or non‑Western forms desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with students
  • Professional, proactive and adaptable approach
