Are you a passionate and creative dance professional looking to inspire the next generation of performers? We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Dance & Performing Arts Teacher (50–70%) to join a dynamic Performing Arts team from September 2026. This role is based primarily within the Junior School, with additional opportunities to contribute to extra-curricular activities across Senior School and Sixth Form. You will deliver engaging lessons across a range of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Street Jazz, and Acro. The successful candidate will play a key role in choreographing productions, supporting performances, and contributing to a vibrant and inclusive Performing Arts programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and develop the dance curriculum within the Junior School and Nursery
  • Teach a broad range of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Street Jazz, and Acro
  • Choreograph and support school productions and performances
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Performing Arts curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and engaging learning experiences
  • Support rehearsals, showcases, workshops, and productions
  • Lead and develop extra-curricular clubs and enrichment opportunities
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback

Person Specification

  • Experience in dance teaching, coaching, and choreography
  • Strong dance background; relevant qualifications (e.g. ISTD, RAD) desirable
  • Knowledge of musical theatre and a wide range of dance styles
  • Experience in contemporary, hip hop, street, salsa, or non-Western forms desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with students
