St Bedes and St Josephs Catholic College is seeking to appoint an inspiring, committed and reflective Teacher of Religious Education to join our successful RE department on a maternity cover basis. The College has experienced significant positive transformation in recent years and was judged Good in all areas by Ofsted. Students are happy, relationships are strong, and outcomes continue to be a real strength.
The role involves joining a successful and forward-thinking Religious Education department, teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. You will inspire students through engaging, faith-rooted and thought-provoking teaching, always placing Gospel values at the heart of learning. You will encourage students to think critically about faith, morality, society and their own personal development. Additionally, you will play an active role in the Catholic life of the College and contribute to the wider pastoral and enrichment provision.
About you: You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with:
