St Bedes and St Josephs Catholic College is looking to appoint an ambitious, values-driven Assistant Headteacher to join its Senior Leadership Team. The College has seen significant positive transformation in recent years and was judged Good in all areas by Ofsted. Students are happy, staff relationships are strong, and outcomes remain a real strength.
The role
You will work closely with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteachers and wider SLT to lead improvement across the College. Responsibilities will be shaped around your strengths and the needs of the College, but will include strategic leadership, staff development, quality assurance and raising standards for students.
This post follows the internal promotion of the current postholder to Deputy Headteacher.

This role may suit an experienced senior school leader, such as an existing Assistant Headteacher, Associate Assistant Headteacher, Head of Faculty, Director of Learning, Head of Year, Pastoral Leader or middle leader ready to take the next step into whole-school leadership. The successful candidate will have a strong track record as a classroom teacher, successful leadership experience within a secondary school setting and a clear commitment to raising standards, supporting staff and improving outcomes for students. Sympathy with and support for the Catholic ethos of the College is essential.
