Aegina Technologies is a precision engineering manufacturer based in Havant, specialising in the subcontract production of high-accuracy components and assemblies. We supply safety- and performance-critical industries including aerospace, oil & gas, and subsea engineering, operating to stringent quality requirements within an AS9100-accredited quality management system.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality / Mechanical Inspector to join our busy production and quality team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process, first-off, and final inspection of precision-engineered components
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections using hand tools and CMM equipment
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Produce and manage quality documentation including FAIRs, NCRs, SCARs, and related reports
- Upload and submit documentation via customer portals within required deadlines
- Verify material certifications and ensure full compliance with specifications
- Record, investigate, and support resolution of non-conformances
- Support internal and external audits (including NQA audits)
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality system development
About You
We are looking for someone who brings experience, accuracy, and confidence in a precision engineering setting. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a quality inspection role within engineering/manufacturing
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Hands-on experience with inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.)
- Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality standards (advantageous)
- Experience using Aberlink CMM (preferred but not essential)
- A highly methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail
