The Role
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll work closely with the Production Manager to ensure factory operations run smoothly, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. You'll lead from the front - supporting the team, driving productivity, and ensuring deadlines and quality expectations are met.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
Contract: Self-employed for the first 3 months, with a clear pathway to a permanent position
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Production Manager to ensure jobs are completed and dispatched on time
- Maintain efficient production flow and meet deadlines
- Carry out quality checks to ensure compliance and high standards
- Provide day-to-day support, guidance, and problem-solving for operatives
- Lead, motivate, and develop the factory team
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment
- Conduct regular 1-2-1s to support performance and progression
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory experience within joinery or furniture manufacturing
- Hands-on experience operating machinery (CNC advantageous)
- Confidence using, or willingness to learn, computer-controlled machinery
- A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, professional, and committed to high-quality work
