The Role - Immediate Requirement
We are looking for an experienced AutoCAD Draftsperson who is available to start immediately. This is a fast-paced role where you will be producing accurate, buildable drawings for live projects already in production. You will be a key part of the team, turning creative concepts into technical drawing packages that can be delivered straight to the workshop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D construction drawings and 3D models from concept to fabrication
- Translate creative briefs, sketches, and specifications into accurate CAD drawings
- Work closely with designers, project managers, and workshop teams
- Ensure drawings are practical and reflect real-world build constraints
- Create structural details and assembly drawings for bespoke scenic elements
- Update and manage drawing packages as projects progress
- Attend site surveys and installations where required
- Maintain drawing registers, version control, and file management across multiple projects
Requirements
- Proven AutoCAD experience is essential
- Strong understanding of construction drawings (this is not a design role)
- Experience working with scenic builds, set construction, or similar environments
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
- Confident communicator across technical and creative teams
- Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, or SolidWorks is advantageous
The Opportunity
This is an urgent hire for a 4-6-week contract, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate. You will be based at our Croydon HQ, with some travel to project sites as required.
