Our Chichester supported living service provides person centred support to adults with learning disabilities and a range of complex needs. We focus on what each person can achieve, helping them develop independence and enjoy greater confidence, choice and control.

The roleThis is an opportunity to move your leadership career forward while helping develop the culture, standards and working practices of the supported living service.

As Team Leader, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to guide the staff team, support the day to day operation of the service and maintain safe, effective and person centred support.

You will be a visible and approachable leader, giving colleagues the guidance they need, setting clear expectations and helping build a positive team culture from the beginning.

This is a hands on leadership position. Alongside your management responsibilities, you will remain involved in providing direct support and lead by example when the team needs you.

What you'll be doingProviding day to day leadership, guidance and support to the staff teamPromoting person centred support that increases independence, dignity, choice and controlPlanning rotas and helping maintain safe and consistent staffing levelsSupporting staff recruitment, induction, supervision, coaching and developmentMaintaining accurate support plans, risk assessments, records, audits and quality checksOverseeing safeguarding, medication, health and safety and risk management practicesSupporting assessments, transitions and the continued development of the serviceWhat you'll needWe are looking for someone who: Has at least six months' experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or complex needsHas previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or in a similar supervisory roleUnderstands person centred support, safeguarding and regulated care servicesHas knowledge of health and safety, risk management and CQC standardsIs confident supervising, coaching and developing colleaguesCommunicates clearly and can make calm, well considered decisionsCan work flexibly across a varied rotaA relevant health and social care qualification would be advantageous.

You must already have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
