  • Identify environmental risks, constraints and mitigation requirements from project information, mapping and site data.
  • Coordinate environmental inputs across a wide range of technical disciplines.
  • Manage environmental surveys, assessments and specialist subcontractors.
  • Support planning, consenting and environmental permitting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with UK environmental legislation and industry best practice.
  • Build effective relationships with regulators, local authorities and key stakeholders.
  • Produce and review high-quality technical reports and environmental documentation.
Requirements
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Ecology or a related discipline.
  • Strong Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) experience.
  • Proven experience coordinating environmental inputs across multiple disciplines and projects.
  • Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation, planning processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to identify environmental risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Chartered status or working towards professional chartership.
  • Experience within water, utilities, highways, rail, energy or other infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience reviewing, mentoring or managing the work of others.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary of £49,100 - £69,300
  • Hybrid working model with approximately three office days per week
  • Opportunity to work on high-value infrastructure projects
  • Join a growing environmental function of around 40 specialists
  • Exposure to a broad range of environmental disciplines and challenges
  • Strong support for professional development and chartership progression
  • Collaborative culture with access to specialist expertise across ecology, biodiversity, planning and environmental management
  • The chance to influence projects that directly benefit customers, communities and the environment.
