Our client is recruiting 2 experienced Private Client Consultants to join their growing team, supporting clients who have chosen Will-writing services through their employee benefits platform. This is a client-facing advisory role where empathy, technical excellence and confidence are key. You will provide trusted, compliant advice across Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate, helping clients protect their assets and plan for the future with clarity and reassurance.
Key Details:
- Working pattern: Hybrid home working combined with regular client meetings and visits to Head Office (East Grinstead)
- Hours: 39 hours per week Mon-Thu: 9:00am-6:00pm Fri: 9:00am-5:00pm
- Travel: Regional client meetings and roadshows (occasional overnight stays required)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide expert advice on Wills, Trusts, LPAs and Probate, ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance
- Draft, amend and finalise Wills and LPAs within company SLAs, delivering technically accurate, high-quality documentation
- Advise clients on trust structures, inheritance tax mitigation, wealth preservation, and estate planning strategies
- Build strong, long-term client relationships through a bespoke, empathetic and professional service
- Conduct follow-ups after client meetings, gather outstanding information, answer queries and update CRM records
- Manage client calls and emails efficiently within agreed SLAs
- Prepare and submit LPA documentation, supporting clients through OPG registration requirements
- Identify and refer clients for additional services where appropriate (Trusts, Life Insurance, LPAs and related products)
- Attend client roadshows and regional meetings to support business growth and brand promotion
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, advisors and the wider team
- Manage your diary proactively, coordinating travel and accommodation with team leads and the meetings team
- Assist other areas of the business during peak or quieter periods
- Continuously develop your legal knowledge, including undertaking further funded qualifications where required
Requirements:
- Law degree from an accredited institution
- STEP or CILEX qualified (or actively working towards)
- Proven experience in Wills, Trusts, Probate and Estate Planning
- Previous Financial Services experience (e.g. mortgages, life insurance, wealth or employee benefits)
- Minimum 2 years client-facing experience (face-to-face and/or virtual)
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems
- A clean driving licence and ability to travel regionally
- Good transport links to London and East Grinstead (HQ)
- Highly professional and presentable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptionally strong client care skills: empathetic, personable and confident
- Able to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Adaptable, proactive and resilient in a fast-paced environment
- Keen to learn and progress professionally
