Support staff complete chronology, placement plans and weekly report. Prior and after a family is placed to inform health visiting service via email. Ensure that families are registered with our local GP 5 days after placement. To support the RM to identify key worker for families.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support staff complete chronology, placement plans and weekly report
  • Prior and after a family is placed to inform health visiting service via email
  • Ensure that families are registered with our local GP 5 days after placement
  • To support the RM to identify key worker for families
  • To update the admission and discharge register with the correct full information at the point of a family arriving and leaving the centre
  • Admin days to be used for placement plan update, risk assessment and chronologies and making sure that everything in the folder is there and nothing is missing
  • Team leader to lead the shifts and to make sure that sessions, wellbeing walks, residents are being done
  • Team leader to give residents complaints acknowledgement response in the absence of the manager
  • Wellbeing of residents when on shift to include making sure that there is feeding chart, bath chart for parents if needed, touch base with families on general mental health wellbeing, and ensuring that wellbeing walks are being completed
  • To ensure that families do not get bored whilst in the centre and that there is sufficient activities to engage them in within or outside the centre
  • Making sure that support workers are on the floor more and checking on babies every hour
  • To be responsible for medication audit, fire drill and health safety for the centre and that the centre is clean and hazard free internally and externally
  • Team leaders to complete some of the weekly reports for the team, working closely with the team and social workers and making sure that there is no delay
  • Liaising with social workers on the work that family needs to complete each week
  • Attending meetings to support manager to take on the rota responsibilities
  • Team leader to ensure that incident reports are being completed in a timely manner (within 24hrs) and send to manager and social workers
  • Team leaders to form part of the on-call rota system
  • Team leaders to complete any other relevant task as requested by the RM
  • Team leaders to complete family weekly schedules and weekly reports for the families at the end of each week and remind everyone not to book anything on a Friday as this is our admin day
  • To supervise night staff and make sure that they are meeting the needs of the service
  • Team leaders to notify OFSTED of serious events in the absence of the team manager and after liaising with the Responsible Individual
  • To liaise with accounts on invoice needs to be done e.g. contact one to one and ensuring that the spreadsheet is up to date
