Our client, based in the West End, is seeking to recruit an interim CFO to lead the transformation of their prestigious charity over a six-month period (potential to extend). The role will commence in May, so the successful candidate must be immediately available and looking for their next transformational assignment as the number one in finance and a key business partner to the CEO.
This position requires extensive experience in strategic finance transformation, including (but not limited to) conducting a diagnostic review of the current state, implementing board-approved changes, and leading organisational change where necessary. The successful candidate will also be responsible for improving financial reporting, reorganising the finance team, driving executive decision-making and commercial activity, strengthening governance and risk frameworks, and ensuring robust cost control. A key deliverable will be the recruitment and successful onboarding of a permanent CFO.
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of delivering transformation within a charitable environment, alongside strong commercial expertise. Experience working in organisations where commercial and philanthropic revenue streams coexist is essential. They will be looking for someone personable and communicative, with the ability to succinctly present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity to establish yourself as a go-to interim CFO within the not-for-profit sector across our network. If you bring a unique blend of recent charity experience, CFO-level transformation expertise, and an entrepreneurial approach that enables you to engage effectively with C-suite stakeholders, this role could be an excellent fit.
