The predicted salary is between 42000 - 52000 £ per year.

From £42k pa upwards, dependent on experience and qualifications. We are currently seeking an experienced heating engineer to join our team. Candidates will come from a plumbing and heating background and should have experience in the installation and maintenance of both domestic and commercial boilers. Knowledge of district heating systems, heating controls and hydraulics would be an advantage. Experience of biomass systems would also be beneficial; however, full training will be provided.

The majority of our work is sub-200kW biomass boiler installations for a mix of domestic and small commercial clients, with some integration of solar thermal for hot water production, and solar PV. Day-to-day work is split between some installation of new systems, with the majority of time spent carrying out annual servicing on existing systems, and fault finding systems to get customers back up and running with heat.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertake planned servicing and reactive maintenance of biomass boilers and solar systems directly for residential and small commercial customers.
  • Undertake installation and commissioning.
  • Providing technical expertise to customers for advice on technical issues with heating systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues and faults with heating systems.

Requirements:

  • Plumbing & Heating qualification and experience.
  • Ability to service and maintain systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose faults and provide solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills when working in a customer environment and as part of a team.
  • Full UK drivers licence.

Location: Aberdeenshire (applicants from outside the area would need to plan to relocate before starting work)

Hours of work: Basic hours of work between the hours of 08:00-17:00, 40 hours per week, with a requirement for overtime and to be on call one weekend in four.
