ALEXANDER DANIELS are partnering with a growing organisation to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial operations, reporting, and business partnering across the business. This is a high-impact role suited to a technically strong, commercially aware finance professional looking to take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and all financial reporting.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
- Manage statutory submissions including VAT and CIS, ensuring full compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Support payroll accounting and reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls and drive improvements in financial processes and systems.
- Work closely with senior leaders across operational and commercial teams.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
- Provide financial insights to support pricing, decision-making, and performance improvement.
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and process enhancements.
- Develop and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts.
- Manage working capital across receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Proactively identify and respond to potential liquidity challenges.
- Support teams across the business with clear, insightful financial guidance.
Key Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, Part Qualified/ Finalist will be considered with strong previous experience.
- Strong knowledge of VAT, CIS, payroll processes, and financial compliance.
- Confident in audit preparation, financial control, and statutory reporting.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
