ALEXANDER DANIELS are delighted to be supporting a client in the search for an Assistant Management Accountant. This position plays a key role in supporting the finance team, contributing to the production of reliable financial reports and helping maintain efficient and compliant accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Calculate and post accruals and prepayments.
  • Analyse gross margins and overhead costs, highlighting variances where appropriate.
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
  • Support cash flow management, including cash forecasting activities.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash movements.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly service fee calculations and raise associated invoices.
  • Process supplier payments via online banking platforms.
  • Handle accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Assist with the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors where required.

Qualifications

  • ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified.
  • AAT qualification (or working towards).
