Alexander Daniels are recruiting on an exclusive basis on behalf of a valued client for a newly created role within their finance team. This opportunity is suited to an ACCA or CIMA finalist, or a part-qualified accountant, to join an accounts function responsible for delivering accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and operational support across the business. This position offers great hybrid working flexibility and a supportive working environment. The team plays a key role in preparing management accounts, analysing performance, and ensuring balance sheet integrity, while also supporting stakeholders with budgeting and financial understanding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing monthly profit & loss accounts across multiple business units
  • Investigating and analysing variances against budget and forecast
  • Supporting non-finance stakeholders in understanding financial performance and key drivers
  • Managing and maintaining operational expenditure systems
  • Providing support and resolving finance-related queries from operational teams
  • Producing weekly and monthly KPI reports
  • Preparing various ad-hoc financial reports and analysis
  • Completing quarterly VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations
  • Assisting with budget preparation and processing

  • Strong Excel skills with excellent attention to detail
