Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an experienced Qualfied / Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join a successful business in the Walsall area. Our client are are a well-established and growing business within the construction and housing sector, known for delivering high-quality projects and maintaining strong financial performance.The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager / Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely management accounts, supporting project reporting, and ensuring financial integrity across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with Coins or Access Coins experience and a strong understanding of the construction or housing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple projects.

  • Support project costing and WIP reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational teams.

  • Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts and support financial audit requirements.

  • Provide insightful financial analysis and commentary to management to drive informed decision-making.

  • Work closely with site managers, commercial teams, and project leads to understand financial performance.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience within the construction, housing, or property development sector.

  • Strong working knowledge of Coins / Access Coins accounting software (essential).

  • Solid understanding of management accounting principles and project accounting.

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proactive, analytical, and able to work independently in a hybrid environment.
