A growing acquisitive business in Grantham is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller with strong FP&A expertise to provide immediate support during a critical period of growth and integration.

Following a number of recent acquisitions, the finance team requires a commercially minded interim professional who can quickly take ownership of the newly acquired entities, bring stability to reporting processes, and provide the financial insight needed to support the wider business. This is a highly visible role requiring someone who can hit the ground running, assess the current situation, and implement practical solutions from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the finance activities of several recently acquired businesses
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of management accounts and financial reporting
  • Deliver robust financial planning and analysis to support decision-making
  • Improve reporting processes, controls, and financial visibility across the group
  • Support the integration of acquired businesses into the wider finance function
  • Review and optimise the use of Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring both platforms deliver meaningful business insights
  • Provide hands-on leadership and guidance during a period of change and transformation
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify risks, opportunities, and operational improvements

About You

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience operating as an Interim Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Finance Director
  • Strong FP&A and commercial analysis experience
  • Experience supporting businesses through acquisition, integration, or transformation projects
  • Advanced systems knowledge, particularly Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Comfortable working within fast-paced and evolving environments
  • Able to quickly diagnose issues, establish priorities, and deliver results
