We are looking for a proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join an exciting and growing business on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is a predominantly remote role, with travel to the office required once per month.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function, taking ownership of day-to-day transactional finance activities, maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow processes, and assisting with month-end accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and is keen to develop their skills within a dynamic, fast-growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Posting customer receipts and supplier payments
- Managing aged debt and resolving customer queries
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Reconciling invoice finance activity
- Assisting with month-end journals
- Maintaining accurate records in Xero
- Supporting the FD with reporting, projects, and process improvements
Essential
- AAT Level 4 qualified, studying CIMA/ACCA, or qualified by experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Xero
- Comfortable managing high volumes of transactions
- Excellent attention to detail and reconciliation skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote-first environment
- Eager to learn, develop, and grow with the business
Desirable
- FMCG experience
- Exposure to invoice finance facilities
- Experience within a high-growth or venture-backed business
