Candidates must possess deep expertise in the UK Solar Project Market and have a strong, transferable network of customers. AD Energy are collaborating with an International solutions provider in the Solar PV market. We are about to start a search for a sales management individual, to lead sales for the Utility Scale PV Business unit in the UK, which filters out into Northern Europe. With them currently being leaders in the Commercial and Domestic market, now is the time to really hit the pedal within the Utility market. They are players, but not leaders. That needs to change. With new products landing in 2026, this will happen.
Below is an outline of what we need:
- Undertake deep market research for strategy refinement and business planning
- Execute a UK plan for us to become the leader in the Utility scale market
- Work closely with product teams to ensure the correct portfolio of products
- Full control of commercial opportunities and business in the region
- Coordination of commercial and technical project bids
- Utilise knowledge of power and energy sector for business opportunities: grid operators, IPP, EPC, Energy projects etc.
- Secure and develop Large Scale PV projects in local region
- Lead a team that can design projects and make business proposals to the relevant parties
- Commercial evaluation of new business
- Negotiation of development, SPA, EPC, O&M, PPA and project sales contract
- Maintain excellent working relations with all parties
- Coordinate internal and external support for sales, business development, project delivery, marketing and technical service
Key Requirements:
- At least 5 years of Utility scale solar experience, in an international environment
- Experience of starting and/or leading a Utility scale business unit
- Business development and technical leadership experience
- A background in securing MW solar projects across the UK and Ireland
- International exposure-working with cross border colleagues and customers
- Highly driven and results orientated
- Strong business acumen and communication skills
- Must be customer focused and deliver service to customer
- Willingness to travel- flexibility to travel
- Must be professionally proficient in English
