We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Global Supply Chain to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations across all international markets. This senior leadership role is responsible for managing the full product journey—from sourcing and inbound logistics to warehousing, distribution, and resale—ensuring the seamless flow of goods and services across our global wholesale network. You will be instrumental in building a resilient, scalable, and efficient global supply chain that supports our growth ambitions and enhances our position as a leading international Solar PV business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a global supply chain strategy that aligns with the company’s commercial and operational goals.
- Lead a global team across procurement, logistics, planning, inventory, and distribution functions.
- Collaborate with commercial, finance, and regional leadership to align supply chain operations with business priorities.
- End-to-End Supply Chain Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of goods: supplier sourcing, production, inbound logistics, customs clearance, warehousing, and last-mile distribution to wholesale clients and resale partners.
- Ensure a seamless and cost-effective flow of goods from origin to resale destinations across diverse global markets.
- Manage global transportation networks, including sea, air, and land freight, to optimize cost and service levels.
- Ensure full compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and import/export documentation across all territories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers.
- Negotiate favorable terms, lead times, and service agreements to support margin improvement and inventory efficiency.
- Inventory & Demand Planning
- Lead forecasting and demand planning across markets to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid overstock or shortages.
- Implement and optimize inventory strategies tailored for wholesale environments, including regional consolidation and cross-docking.
- Process Optimization & Technology
- Drive continuous improvement across all supply chain functions through process redesign and digital transformation.
- Oversee implementation and optimization of ERP, WMS, and SCM systems to improve visibility, tracking, and decision-making.
- Risk, Resilience & Sustainability
- Identify and mitigate risks in the global supply chain, including supplier disruptions, geopolitical volatility, and transportation delays.
- Champion sustainable sourcing and ethical supply chain practices, ensuring environmental and social governance (ESG) compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in global supply chain leadership, with at least 5 years in an international wholesale or B2B environment.
- Deep understanding of wholesale distribution models, resale channel dynamics, and international logistics.
- Expertise in customs regulations, Incoterms, trade compliance, and cross-border transportation.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen.
Preferred Experience:
- Proven track record managing supply chains across Europe, Asia, and North America.
- Experience with multi-country inventory and fulfillment strategies.
- Familiarity with ERP and supply chain platforms (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven wholesale environment.
Travel Requirement: International travel up to 25–35%
Compensation: Competitive base around 150,000 GBP or equivalent EUR + bonus + benefits
