The program spans multiple data centers and includes procurement and installation of new Cloud Rack appliances, enterprise network integration, database migration, extensive testing, and full security, compliance, and regulatory sign-off under an aggressive delivery timeline.

The Project Manager will lead end-to-end delivery of the DB2 Cloud Rack Migration Program, owning planning, execution, governance, and stakeholder alignment across technology, security, compliance, vendors, and business teams. This role is accountable for delivering against tight milestones, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring the program meets all functional, performance, security, and regulatory requirements ahead of Sailfish end of life.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed integrated project plans, milestones, and dependencies covering data center readiness, hardware delivery, environment build, testing, and migration waves.
  • Coordinate across database engineering, infrastructure, network, application, security, compliance, and IBM vendor teams to ensure aligned execution.
  • Track and manage scope, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, proactive driving mitigation and escalation when required.
  • Establish and run program governance, including executive status reporting, RAID reviews, and steering committee forums.
  • Oversee testing and migration phases ensuring functionality, performance, resiliency, and security readiness prior to stakeholder sign-off.
  • Drive cutover planning, rehearsals, and execution to minimize business risk and downtime.
  • Ensure required documentation, validation of artifacts, and approvals are produced to meet audit, compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain tight control of delivery timelines to ensure platform readiness well ahead of September 2026.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or database migration programs in enterprise environments.
