Must be based in the UK Sector: Enterprise Software The Role We're looking for a Technical Consultant to deliver and support enterprise software solutions within customer environments across on-premise, hosted and cloud infrastructures.
This is a hands-on technical consultancy role combining software implementation, infrastructure troubleshooting, deployment automation and customer-facing technical delivery.
You'll work closely with customers, project teams and service teams to deploy, support and optimise critical healthcare software platforms.
Success in this role requires strong Microsoft infrastructure experience, excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to automate deployment activities using tools such as Power Shell, YAML and Azure Dev Ops.
This is not a Dev Ops or Platform Engineering role.
We're seeking someone with a strong infrastructure and implementation background who enjoys working directly with customers and solving complex technical challenges.
Key
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical implementations of enterprise software solutions into customer environments, working directly with customer IT teams to deploy and configure solutions across on-premise, hosted and Azure-based infrastructures
- Configure, support and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, virtualisation, storage, networking and security components.
- Use Azure Dev Ops, YAML and Power Shell to automate software deployment and configuration activities
- Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technical change projects
- Provide 3rd line and escalated technical support for complex customer incidents.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation including deployment guides, HLDs, LLDs, DR documentation and knowledge articles
- Participate in a remote on-call rota (approximately two Sundays per month) Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience deploying, implementing or supporting enterprise software within customer environments
- Advanced Power Shell scripting and automation experience
- Strong Microsoft infrastructure background including Windows Server, Active Director, IIS and Networking
- Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualisation platforms
- Experience using YAML and deployment automation technologies.
- Exposure to Azure Dev Ops pipelines or similar deployment tooling.
- Experience working within technical consulting, professional services, implementation or customer-facing technical roles
- Experience producing high-quality technical documentation
- Familiarity with ITIL-aligned support and change management processes
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Must have the right to work in the UK Desirable Skills
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle RAC or Data Guard
- Endpoint security and endpoint management technologies
- Linux administration experience
