Are you passionate about protecting critical infrastructure and reducing cyber risk on a national scale? Our client is seeking experienced Senior Technical Cyber Security Advisors to join a forward‑thinking organization delivering vital services to millions of users every day.
In this key role, you will provide strategic cyber security advice to senior stakeholders, project teams, engineers, auditors and risk owners, driving secure‑by‑design principles across a broad and complex technology estate. Working across cloud, IT and operational technology environments, you will shape the secure delivery of major systems, helping to safeguard essential services from evolving cyber threats.
You’ll act as a trusted expert, influencing cyber security strategy, standards and architectural designs, while also promoting security culture across the organization. Comfortable translating complex technical concepts into accessible language, you will build strong relationships and challenge stakeholders to adopt best practices that enhance security resilience and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on secure design, delivery and operation of systems and solutions.
- Support risk owners in managing cyber threats and meeting regulatory obligations.
- Contribute to the development of cyber security standards, patterns and strategy.
- Prepare and present assurance reports, KPIs/KRIs and risk updates to senior leaders.
- Champion improvements to cyber capabilities and governance processes.
- Promote a positive and proactive cyber security culture.
About You
- Strong advisory background in cyber security within complex enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of frameworks and standards such as ISO27001, NIST, NIS Regulations.
- Understanding of infrastructure, networks, applications and cloud security principles.
- Excellent communicator with proven stakeholder management experience.
- Passionate about innovation, problem solving and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline such as technology, engineering or cyber security.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA, GIAC, ISACA) are desirable.
Security Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain BPSS and CTC clearance.
