As a Manager, you will start to take a leadership role in delivering high-impact Market Access and HEOR consulting projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and strategic alignment across multiple workstreams. Building on your experience as a Senior Consultant, you will oversee delivery across full project scopes, manage cross-functional teams, and serve as a trusted strategic partner to clients navigating complex pricing, evidence, and access environments. Managers at Acumetis are responsible for owning project programmes from planning and execution to quality control and team leadership. You will lead client relationships, steer strategic discussions, and ensure that deliverables are aligned with client needs and project objectives.

You will work closely with Senior Consultants, Analysts, and Consultants, bringing clarity, structure, and direction to complex assignments. This role introduces formal line management responsibilities. You will coach, mentor, and develop direct reports through structured feedback, performance discussions, and wellbeing support. You will also progress through Acumetis's Leadership Academy pathway, gaining the management capabilities required to support team performance and organisational growth. Managers are key contributors to business development. You will support proposal scoping, solution design, and commercial planning, helping convert opportunities into successful engagements and expand long-term client partnerships.

This role prepares you for progression to Senior Manager, where deeper strategic influence, cross-project leadership, and organisational contribution become central expectations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Core Knowledge
    • Challenge and improve evidence, research, and methodological approaches across projects, ensuring alignment to client objectives.
    • Lead high-impact synthesis frameworks and drive the development of compelling strategic narratives.
    • Validate analytical outputs and ensure statistical or modelling work is defensible and aligned to strategic direction.
    • Guide teams to apply HEOR frameworks, HTA logic, and pricing/access principles appropriately and consistently.
    • Shape and review full deliverables, ensuring narrative accuracy, flow, and commercial resonance.

      • Approve and adapt research plans for both quantitative and qualitative projects.
      • Review and validate methodology across workstreams, ensuring consistency and strategic relevance.
      • Provide oversight and problem-solving for evidence synthesis, literature reviews, qualitative approaches, and quantitative frameworks.
    • Data Analysis & Interpretation
      • Validate outputs across advanced statistical or modelling work, ensuring commercial interpretation.
      • Guide quantitative and qualitative analysis across teams, ensuring methods align with project needs.
    • Writing, Storytelling & Deliverables
      • Shape and refine high-impact deliverables, ensuring persuasive narratives and strategic alignment.
      • Guide storyboarding, slide logic, and messaging to support compelling client-ready outputs.
    • Business Development
      • Lead sections of proposals, including methodological design, strategic framing, timelines, and pricing rationale.
      • Contribute to opportunity identification, account expansion, and long-term relationship growth.
    • People Leadership
      • Provide feedback, coaching, and structured development support for direct reports.
      • Lead formal performance reviews, set clear goals, and support progression pathways.
      • Ensure psychological safety and wellbeing for team members; create an inclusive and supportive team environment.
      • Manage operational tasks such as leave approvals, workload planning, and team communications with fairness and consistency.

    • Strong performance at Manager level prepares individuals for progression to Senior Manager, where expectations broaden to include multi-programme leadership, wider organisational influence, and expanded commercial responsibility.
  • Education
    • Degree-level qualification (2.1 or above preferred) in a health-related, analytical, or numerical scientific discipline, such as:
      • Health Economics, Public Health
      • Maths, Statistics, Econometrics
      • Biochemistry, Natural Sciences, Life Sciences
      • Engineering, Operational Research, MORSE
    • Advanced degree (MSc, MRes, MBA, PhD) strongly preferred in:
      • Health Economics
      • Biostatistics / Medical Statistics

      • Mathematics / Econometrics
      • Other analytical, quantitative, or health-related disciplines
  • Skills & Capabilities
    • Extensive experience delivering Market Access, HEOR, pricing and reimbursement, evidence synthesis, or analytical consulting work, including leading workstreams or full project components.
    • Proven ability to design, justify, and lead quantitative and qualitative research approaches, ensuring methodological rigour and alignment to client needs.
    • Ability to interpret complex data, integrate multiple evidence sources, and translate insights into commercially relevant recommendations.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent command of English (CEFR C1/C2), including the ability to lead client-facing discussions and provide high-quality written outputs.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel functions for data analysis and model interpretation.
    • Experience with reference management software (e.g., EndNote, Zotero) and/or analytical/statistical tools (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata, Python) is advantageous and increasingly expected at this level.
    • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
    • Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching colleagues, reviewing others’ work, and supporting high-quality delivery across teams.
    • Ability to work with professional maturity and independence, managing complex client interactions and contributing to strategic discussions.
