Based around Salisbury or Swindon area, the Clinical Specialist will become the expert in product and anatomical knowledge, have a sound understanding of orthopedic principles, and exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to function effectively in this role.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Support, consultation and training to the surgeon and theatre team regarding the use of Acumed products prior to, during, and following the surgical procedure.
  • Provide guidance to assist with clinical decision-making at each stage of the process.
  • Ensure that the surgeon has the correct equipment for the patient.
  • Manage day‑to‑day account activities of hospitals in the assigned area, including inventory management tasks such as auditing stock, facilitating stock replenishment, loan kit bookings, and ensuring implants and instruments are ready and accessible for use.
  • Achieve all KPI’s as set by the line manager and/or Directors in line with business/role demands.
  • Case covering including but not limited to advising on the application of the Acumed portfolio.
  • Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology.
  • Interface between the customers and Regional Sales Manager.
  • Provide guidance to assist with clinical decisions to both new and existing customers.
  • Train theatre staff.
  • Understand and adhere to hospital and theatre policies.
  • Attend regional symposiums and represent the Acumed brand.
  • Perform inventory management and audits.
  • Keep CRM records up to date.
  • Work flexibly to support business requirements.
  • Work successfully as part of a team.
  • Maintain all Acumed equipment, including laptop, mobile phone, and audit equipment.
  • Complete all administration duties in a timely manner.
