About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and commercially-minded Solicitor to join our highly-regarded real estate This is an excellent opportunity to start your post-qualification career in a fast-paced and dynamic real estate practice.

You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a wide range of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development projects, and property financing. The role provides hands‑on experience and exposure to all stages of real estate matters, helping you build strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and client‑handling experience, while laying the foundation for long‑term career progression within the firm.

Our national team comprises senior practitioners with decades of experience in this specialist sector, using our cutting‑edge technology to produce a smooth and efficient service. The team handles the full range of real estate transactions and projects, including site set‑ups, acquisitions and disposals, development and regeneration, joint ventures, leasing, construction and engineering, as well as the planning and environmental aspects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior lawyers and partners on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, reorganisations, and general corporate advisory matters.
  • Obtain Land Registry documents in accordance with fee earner (FE) instructions.
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and management of Land Registry applications and documents under the guidance of senior lawyers.
  • Monitor Land Registry correspondence and deadlines, ensuring timely responses and updates to clients and fee earners.
  • Support the opening of new commercial property matters, ensuring all compliance, risk, and client onboarding requirements are met.
  • Prepare standardised Key Terms and initial documentation for client matters.
  • Ensure all client documentation is properly logged and accessible for fee earners and the team.
  • Assist with the preparation of Commercial Property Standard Enquiries (CPSE) and other due diligence documents for partner review.
  • Collate and manage indemnity policy quotations and other key transaction documents.
  • Draft engrossments and other transactional documentation under supervision, preparing files for execution and completion.
  • Support post‑completion processes, including monitoring Land Registry requisitions and the submission of SDLT/LTT filings under supervision.
  • Assist with the discharge of undertakings, management of priority searches, and updating of transaction records.
  • Maintain accurate records of original documents and assist with archiving completed matters.
  • Prepare documents and materials for data rooms and client reporting.
  • Maintain and update precedent templates, checklists, and internal documentation.
  • Conduct conflict checks and assist with risk and compliance processes as required.
  • Support the processing of property search requests, payments, and file closures under guidance.

Work on complex and high-value corporate transactions across diverse industries, advising private and public companies, investors, and entrepreneurs.

About You

As a Solicitor with 2 years PQE and a keen interest in real estate matters, you will have developed a solid technical foundation through training and early experience in areas such as acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development projects, and property finance, and will be keen to build your expertise further within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

You will demonstrate attention to detail, sound legal judgment, and a commercially aware approach to your work. You will be an effective communicator, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage professionally with clients under supervision. A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to high‑quality client service are essential, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a growing real estate practice.

Personal Specification

  • A solicitor qualified in England & Wales with a minimum of 2 years PQE.
  • Experience gained through training and/or post‑qualification work within a commercial real‑estate team at a City, national, or strong regional firm.
  • Exposure to advising a range of clients, including developers, landlords, tenants, investors, and occupiers, under appropriate supervision.
  • A good grounding in commercial property law and market practice, with strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills, and a willingness to develop negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to support and collaborate with colleagues, including trainees and junior team members, sharing knowledge and contributing positively to team development.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to understand client objectives and contribute to practical, business‑focused property solutions.
