Rate of Pay: Waking Nights £14.53 Per Hour

Contract: 1 x 24 Hours on Waking Nights 8pm-8am

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable Female Support Worker who is enthusiastic about making a genuine difference in people's lives. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a young woman in a bespoke care setting, empowering her to live a fulfilling and meaningful life.

You will be supporting a lady with an acquired brain injury who is PEG fed and uses a wheelchair. She may experience difficulties with communication at times and requires full support with moving and handling. She benefits from encouragement to access the community and, when supported to do so, enjoys visiting peaceful outdoor settings such as lakes and rivers. She also takes pleasure in trips to garden centres, with a particular love for flowers such as Bird of Paradise and jasmine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care and support tailored to her individual needs.
  • Support with PEG feeding and nutrition.
  • Assist with full moving and handling, including use of equipment.
  • Support with personal care and daily living activities.
  • Encourage and facilitate community access and meaningful activities.
  • Monitor wellbeing and respond appropriately to any changes.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
  • Communicate effectively, adapting to her individual communication style.
Experience & Skills of a Support Worker:
  • Previous experience in complex care is desirable.
  • Knowledge or experience of PEG feeding and moving & handling.
  • Experience supporting individuals with brain injuries or communication difficulties (preferred).
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable approach.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and provide consistent care.
  • Strong observational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training.
