A meaningful role supporting someone to live life to the fullest. We are looking for caring, reliable and confident Female Support Workers to join a small team supporting an individual who lives at home with their family in Portland, Dorset. This person has complex clinical needs, autism, epilepsy, a communication disorder and behaviours that may present as challenging, and they rely on a consistent team who truly understand them.
What really matters, though, is supporting someone who is fun, active, and enjoys a structured routine. Their favourite activities include swimming, trampolining, browsing local shops, going to funfairs, and visiting churches. To help them make the most of these outings, we’re looking for people who know the local area and who hold a full UK driving licence.
As a Support Worker, you’ll play an important role in helping this individual live safely, comfortably, and in a way that reflects their preferences. Your day might include:
- Providing high-quality support on a 2:1 basis
- Creating opportunities for meaningful activities at home and in the community
- Encouraging social interaction and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Supporting communication in the way that works best for them
- Helping with routine household tasks to maintain a calm, organised environment
This is a role where your presence genuinely makes a difference every day.
